Buffalo, NY – 14 Employees from Industrial Materials Recycling, LLC (IMR) of Buffalo recently completed a 10-hour OSHA training as part of a training grant IMR received from the New York State Department of Labor Hazardous Abatement Board.

IMR is a leading recycling company committed to reusing, reducing, and recycling plastics and other materials for the benefit of customers and the environment. The company buys, processes and sells plastics, paper and metal scrap depending on customer needs. The company recycles more than 10 million pounds of material a year, helping customers turn waste stream materials into a revenue source. At the same time, this activity keeps a tremendous amount of waste out of landfills.  IMR recently relocated to Steel Works Industrial Park.

The training involved general industry safety training on lock-out / tag-out procedures for safe shut down of a workplace in the event emergency services are required or when repairs and maintenance are required. The training was lead by representatives from Great Lakes Environmental.
